Arizona Adventures: Gates Pass in Tucson Mountain Park

Hey everyone! I hope that you're all doing well. I'm so sorry I disappeared for a bit. I'm fine, I'm just really focused on getting a job because it's getting to a critical point and I just need to figure out how to make it happen. I did manage to get out for a quick adventure during this time. I'm still trying to get out when I can for the sake of my mental health and it looks like within the next week the weather will finally start to normalize for this time of the year.

I decided to take a ride to Gates Pass, which is the road that goes through Tucson Mountain Park. There are some pull offs where I could get out, stretch my legs, and take some pictures, but I did not hike because it was still in the high 90s the day that I went. I'm definitely looking forward to getting some hikes in soon, but on this day, the ride through the park was a perfect change of pace and scenery for me.

I absolutely love Tucson Mountain Park!

I think the road looks so beautiful.

I'm still so grateful to be able to see these beautiful cacti whenever I want. Despite being the quintessential image of a cactus, the saguaro is only found right here in the Sonoran desert.

I wish the pictures would do the actual scenery justice. In the distance of this image you can see tons of saguaros. It's such an incredible sight.

I've heard that Gates Pass is a good place to see a beautiful Arizona sunset. I typically go up to Mt. Lemmon for sunsets but I'd love to check Gates Pass out soon for sunset!

Sorry again for disappearing and I'll let you know that I'll be showing up here sporadically until I have everything stabilized here. I hope that you're all doing well and I'll see you back here soon-ish! 💜

  2. No need to apologize - take all the time you need. I am hoping something comes through soon. I am glad you were able to get out for a bit. Your pictures look gorgeous and relaxing. I can't believe how hot it still is there. It's probably hard to feel like it is fall already! - Sri.
