Arizona Adventures: Gates Pass Sunset and an Update

Hey everyone! I hope that you're all doing well. I am back today with some photos to share from a beautiful sunset at Gates Pass in Tucson Mountain Park. Before I get into that I'm happy to share an update with you regarding my current situation. I GOT A JOB!!! Y'all, it has been STRESSFUL. It was really getting down to the wire. For the first 3 months of my unemployment, the opportunities were nonexistent but I applied to anything that I thought I could do with my experience. With no luck, I got back to the grind once I returned from NY and starting October 1, the opportunities increased a ton. I'm happy to say that after about 4.5 months of unemployment, I received an accepted an offer and I'll be going back to work next week. I couldn't be more grateful and it came at a perfect time because my situation was getting pretty critical. I will get back to posting here regularly once I've adjusted to my new schedule but will post here and there until I get to that point.

For today's post I decided to take my own advice from my last post and went to check out a sunset at Gates Pass. I am so glad that I did because I really needed to get out and it was an incredibly beautiful sunset!

As you can see, it was an absolutely gorgeous sunset on a really great night! It was a bit chilly (!!!) because of the wind but it was worth every chilly second. I've mentioned it before but I love Tucson Mountain Park and look forward to more hikes there soon. It cooled down significantly this week (mostly in the 60s) but will get back up to the 70s and 80s next week. It's been nice being able to use my oven recently and I will definitely be meal prepping a pot of soup for next week.

Thanks again for all of your support while I was going through this difficult time. I'm so grateful for all of your comments and support 💜 I'll see you back here soon!

  1. It's so great to get good news, especially this week where I feel I haven't seen much in the way of good news. CONGRATULATIONS! Of course we'll miss reading about your adventures as much, but needing an adjustment period is understandable.

  2. Yippee! I am so glad you got a job! Hopefully it’s a good fit and you have a long engagement. During your unemployment you were really a model for how to not only survive but thrive - with your creative food choices and outings. You are very strong and invincible. Also beautiful pics from a lovely outing. Good luck on the new job! - Sri
