Mt. Lemmon Sunset
Hey everyone! Thank you for joining me again. I know my last post was potentially a bit of a downer but I'm really excited to share some really beautiful things that I've seen and experienced here in Arizona over the past year. Today's post is a fun one as I'll be sharing a beautiful sunset experience from my favorite overlook on Mt. Lemmon.
This trip up Mt. Lemmon is from a while ago, probably last spring. I decided to drive up one Friday after work for some quiet and some peace in nature. I headed up to Windy Point Vista which is one of my favorite sunset spots in Arizona. It was pretty cold on that day but it was completely worth the trip as I was treated to an absolutely beautiful sunset.
The views from Windy Point Vista are so incredibly stunning and I highly recommend stopping there, even if it is not time for sunset. As you can see from the first few photos you will be treated to a gorgeous view. The sunset is just the icing on the cake.
As you can see there were no clouds in the sky so we didn't get the colors that you would typically associate with that perfect Arizona sunset but it was still gorgeous. If I'm being honest, I'm someone who struggles to be productive at the end of a day and I don't really like going anywhere or doing anything after work because I tend to feel stressed and emotionally exhausted after work. Going for a ride and seeing a beautiful sunset is an exception that I will always make. I do hope that as I potentially move into a different career or maybe even self-employment, I will be able to actually have a life that continues after work, rather than going into hibernation mode until the sun rises again.
Thank you for taking a trip up Mt. Lemmon with me. If you are ever in Tucson I highly recommend driving up the Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway and stopping at the Windy Point Vista Overlook. I was dumb and wore flip flops up there. Please don't do that 😅 Thankfully I tend to keep an extra pair of hiking sneakers in my car so I was able to change the flip flops out and not fall off a cliff. If you go up Mt. Lemmon and plan on exploring the overlooks, please wear sensible shoes. Don't be like me 😂
Anyway, that's all for today and I hope to see you for my next post where I will be sharing what I did to celebrate my 40th birthday! 💜 I anticipate continuing with a Tuesday and Saturday posting schedule so I will see you this weekend!
I know we both have some health issues that can make us really tired at the end of the day. For me, I shifted my work schedule later and get up earlier, so that I give myself the best part of my day, and then when I come home tired it's fine, because I've already had time for me. I know what you mean about not doing things after work. I can't do things after work, either!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a smart way to plan your day and be the most productive. It's definitely a challenge and I'm usually not too hard on myself for being unproductive after work but sometimes I wish my day didn't end at 5pm.We just need to honor our bodies and how we feel and I'm glad you've found a way to do that!
DeleteWow these pictures are breathtaking! I am so glad that you have been able to get out and immerse yourself in all that your adopted state has to offer. Looking forward to your next posts to see more of your adventures. And I am sending you good luck vibes for the job search. - Sri.
